Please pray for Matthew...
Matthew Demke, was in a terrible car accident July 21st. He was life-flighted to the U of U and we are told that by the extent of his injuries that he may not live. Matt's fiance was with him and I'm truly heart broken to say that she is now with our heavenly father. So even if Matt makes it through he has some major hardships to face. We are not only asking to keep him in your prayers, but for the rest of the Demke household. This will be a very trying experience for everyone that is related. Remember to pray for them and be thankful for what you get everyday in life. You never know when someone you love will not be around anymore.

Remember!!! Memories!!
I've been tagged! As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

4th of July!! Vacation well sorta!
This past week my family made the 10 hour drive up to my grandparents house for the holiday weekend. It was a very long weekend but a ton of fun. Geoff, my mom and I left St. George Tuesday night after work. We drove up to Megan and Curtis house in Layton and stayed the night. The Wednesday morning bright and early we were up and in the car again headed for Idado. We got into Boise around three Wednesday afternoon and went to the mall for lunch. Then it was off to the grandparents house to
be put to work.
Grandpa and Grandma had all of these projects for us to do before the reunion that started on Friday. They wanted us to paint a fence and weed a garden, we also picked a bunch of cherries off of the tree for them so that the birds would not eat all of them. So we spent the rest of the afternoon scrapping and sanding all of the old paint off of the fence.
The next morning we all met at the park to play games and have lunch will all the cousins. (There will be pictures posted later. I need to get them from my sisters) There was a lot of people there. My family is growing every year. I got to meet three of my new cousins. That was very exciting. It was fun to get to spend sometime with all of them. Courtney and Amy played some horseshoes with me. We had a blast. I have some pretty cool cousins. I am really glad that they all got to come. After that we all headed back to grandmas to get ready for the fire works. We went and sat on the ridge to watch them. There was a bunch of us all on a blanket. Geoff and I were sitting side by side but ended up with Amy between us. Courtney sat on Geoffs left and Abigal sat in between his legs. Caitlin sat in front of me and Baily sat behind me. Coulson was sitting between Geoff. We were very crammed in on that one blanket. The fireworks were a lot of fun to watch with all of the kids.
Thurdsday morning we got up and painted the fence. We were about finished when my uncle Todd and his two sons showed up to help in the backyard. While we finished the fence they started on the weed patch that used to be a compound heap and a garden. When we finished with the fence we headed to the backyard to help. Geoff and I started on the new garden while mom and auny Lisa worked in the garage. It was a long hot day.

My grandparents also have planted a couple if their old christmas trees in the backyard. Don't ask me why they would do a thing like that they just did. These trees have grown huge. We had to trim them down so that they did not take over the yard. That was hard work. But in the end the yard looked great.
Dad, Curtis, Megan, Trent, Tiffanie, and Shelby all arrived Wednesday night. We all went to Red Robin for dinner and then we went back to the hotel and hit the pool. Shelby was really funny in the pool. She would stick her legs in and then pull them out, but put them back in again. I think that water might have been to cold for her. But she never cried. So we kept her in there for a while.
The next day we went down the Boise river. The water was like 50 degrees. But it was a ton of fun. We were getting pushed into the trees and there was some pretty cool rapids. After that we all headed to the institue building to have dinner and play some games. Then it was time to say goodbye to everyone.
Sunday morning we packed back into the car and headed home. It was a long drive for one day but we made it in one piece.
All in all it was a great trip!! Geoff and I had an amazing time. I am so glad that he survived a weekend with my crazy family! (Your right grandma he sure is a keeper!)
