Crossfit day 5
I played hookie today. Geoff and I took a nap together instead of working out. Then he took me to Brick Oven for soup and salad. It was a nice relaxing Friday night. Tomorrow is my long run. I think I will do seven miles and then try and hit Crossfit at 8am. I am hoping that I can do it all. My body sure is sore from all of this working out. The weigh in is on Monday and I am excited to see how I am doing!

Cross Fit day 4
Sorry if these are boring to anyone out there but I want to remember what I have done and what I have accomplished. Today at Crossfit I learned that it was a rest day. I guess since I took my rest day yesterday it was a good thing that I went today. I was still a bit sore from my first two workouts but I am glad that I could go and finish the full workout. We did shoulders today and boy if they were not sore before they sure are now. I finished the whole workout but I had to go down on the weights. I hope to one day be able to do all of the workouts on the weight that is listed. I have a folder that I am keeping track of what I am doing so that one day I will be able to see my improvement. I am just happy that I have made it this far. Tomorrow is another day and I hope to start it off with a good run. So I will be hitting the bed tonight early.
Cross Fit day 3... I mean Transformers!
Today I woke up so sore I thought I was going to die. The workout we did was a killer. I got up and went to the gym planning on running 6 miles. I managed to do 3. I ended up walking most of it because when I would run everything would hurt. My arms, legs, and abs are on fire. I do not think that there is enough icy hot in the world that could take away the pain that I am feeling. So I decided that I would not be attending Crossfit today. I did attempt to run so I think that I got my workout in :) Besides Geoff had decided that we were going to go and see the 5:40 showing of Transformers. It was awesome! I am so a movie person and would go and see every movie that comes out if I could afford too. Not that we dont go and see most of them because we do! I am looking forward to attending Crossfit again. I really do enjoy the workouts and the people that are there always encouraging me to finish. My next race is on July 16th so I need to get some running in again. Hopefully I am not as sore tomorrow and I can get a long run in. That would at least make me feel better about myself.

Cross Fit Day 2
Today I got my butt kicked at Cross Fit. I was already so sore but decided to go anyways. I am now thinking that I should have taken the day off. I missed out on my run this morning because I was so sore. I was planning on doing it tonight but did not make that either. So now I have to run twice tomorrow or pick another day to run on. I am not really looking forward to that. The work out today consisted of dead lifts, turkish arm things (sorry cant remember the correct name) and sit ups. I never thought I would make it through. You had to go through each set three times and you were timed to see how fast you could do it in. I was doing well until I got to the sit ups each round. My abs, well if you know me I have no abs, so I could barley do them. However I am proud to say that I completed all of them. My time was 20:22. Sorry if this is boring to anyone out there but this is for my journal purposes, so I plan on rambling about this as I go. Besides it will be good to keep track of what I am doing and how I improve. Tomorrow is another day and a new start!

97 days until the marathon and Day 1 of Cross fit
Today I am starting a 6 week challenge at Cross Fit. The program is designed to help you get in shape in all areas of athletics. They are based on improving a persons fitness. On Thursday I went and got weighed and had some measurements taken. But I can not remember the measurements right now so I will not be posting them. I am really excited about trying something new to lose weight. I have been running but it seems as though I have plateaued and I am not sure why. I still have at least 50 pounds to lose. I am hoping that Cross Fit can get me passed the plateau. I will be doing weekly weigh ins on Monday. I am not really comfortable posting my weight on here but since this is for journal purposes I guess I should. As of today I am 173.2. I would like to be 135 or so. That means that I have a long way to go. I will be taking some before pictures tonight but I do not think that I will post them just yet. I look terrible. I started today of well I went to spin at the Summit, the class was good but it kicked my butt. Now I am getting ready to go to my first day at Cross Fit. Wish me luck. I will keep everyone posted on how things go.
There are 97 days until the Marathon. Geoff and I are running and we are getting excited. I wish that I was as far along in my training as Geoff is. Sometimes I just dont have the motivation to do anything. Geoff can always get the motivation to do things. I am so not like that. Geoff ran in the American Fork half marathon on Saturday. He did so good! Even though he forgot his running shoes and had to run in his Doc Martins. He has blisters on his feet and his legs are quite sore but he did so well. He set a new time record. I am so proud of him. So here is to my training to get motivated. I have to get my butt in gear if I want to finish in the time limit. It has changed this year.
Geoff and I are also running the Bryce Canyon half marathon in 3 weeks. This will be my first half marathon. I am very nervous about it but feel like I will be ready. I am excited to be able to prove to myself that I can do this. It is a goal that I have set that I can not wait to to finish!

Our summer... so far!
Like I mentioned in my last post I was just getting ready to graduate from college with my Associates degree. Well that has finally happened. It was a great experience and I had a lot of fun hanging out with all the family that came to support me. On May 30, Geoff and I celebrated our Anniversary. It was so amazing because we were in Jamaica at the time. If you have never been there and get the chance I suggest you go! It was so beautiful and we had an amazing time. I would post some pictures but I am on the work computer and not my laptop. I will try and add some later this week.
I decided to attend summer school to get some classes out of the way. I ended up taking 9 credits in five weeks. One of those weeks I was on vacation so I guess I did it in 4. I do not recommend doing something that crazy to anyone. But it is nice to have those classes out of the way and I did really well in them so that makes me happy.
This week my cousin Courtney has been staying with us. Lets just say that I was not prepared to have a teenager in my house so soon. Courtney and I have had a lot of fun though! We went to the Jacob Hamblim home and Brigham Youngs Winter house. Then yesterday we went to the temple and did baptisms and went to the visitors center. I have not been to the visitors center in so long. They have redone their Gods plan for the family room. It was so cool to experience this with Courtney. Today we are going to go horse back riding. We are both pretty excited about that!
Other then that our lives are pretty much the same. Geoff and I are still training for the marathon in October. We spend a lot of time running now days. I just wish it would help with weight loss on my part. I have hit a plateau and I am not so happy about it.
We are hoping to do many fun things this summer so we will keep everyone posted on them!

Not a downer
My last blog was kind down in the dumps well this one is not. I need to learn how to put all of my pictures in a collage so that there is not so many to look at but I have so many fun pictures to post. Not really much to tell about them. Most of them are of the races that Geoff and I have been running. I did my first 10K on Saturday and it was pretty good. I wish that I would have been a little faster but now I have a time to beat for my next one. We are thinking of going to Vegas next weekend to run in a 10K because there are not anymore here in town this month. We ran in the Biggest Loser 5K last month and that was pretty cool. We got to run with some of the contentants from the show. We also got their autographs! I was stoked about getting to see Chole and Darius. They were two of my favorites. I am officially in training for the marathon. I decided if I did not do it this year I never would so here goes nothing. I am hoping to finish in about 5.5 hours. Geoff wants to beat his time from the last one he ran. Oh ya I almost forgot..... I am graduating with my Associates degree on Friday! I am pretty excited. I feel like I have been working on this forever. Now for the pictures that is way you all read this anyways!
